Words simply fail me. When my uncle and perhaps your best friend, Kayode Abimbola (Bob Kay) broke the news of your demise to me, literarily weeping like a child as he did so, I went into shock myself. I believed my uncle because the news came from him but I refused to believe it too. I was in self denial and why won't I? When last my wife and I visited you in Birmingham, you looked so healthy, and was your typical self, smiling, welcoming and chatty. You, dead? Oh my! Uncle Folu... You will be sorely missed. We met so casually and we became best of friends as a younger brother to you. Never forceful, eloquent in bringing forward your thoughts on any issue, always listening and easy to sit down with and share thoughts. A moment with you, would be like a thousand years had been shared with you. Truly, death where is thy sting? Why uncle Folu? I will miss you. My wife will miss you and all those who walked through the same narrow path of love with you. I was lucky to have met and known you. What a man, what a husband, what a dad, what a grandfather and what a friend and pastor. I have God's promise that one day, in that part ethereal, we shall meet to part no more. Rest, uncle Folu, rest. Gbenga Abimbola
