TRIBUTE TO A GEM AND TRUE FRIEND. Little did i know, in my wildest dream, that I will be putting pen to paper, so soon, writing a tribute about my special Friend and Brother Folu. Hmm! But I have since come to realise, more than ever, that we are just in transit here. If we think we fully understand our circumstances, then my advice to such a person is please keep on living!. The events of the last seventeen months have really taught me very hard lessons about life. Truly, Jim Reeves the great musician was on point when he sang "this world is not my home, I am just passing through.....". The Bible in James 4:14 rightly echoed these sentiments when it says: "Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life. For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes". Folu has surely gone from among us without notice, but his footprints will live for ever. However, we are comforted, he is with Baba God. While here, on earth, he was busy prosecuting the mandate of his Father, Almighty. John 14:1-6 assured that Jesus went to prepare rooms for us, His children, in His Father's Mansion, so I am confident, Folu is comfortably resting in the bosom of His Father in Heaven. A true servant of the Most High God in life. Folu is an epitome of the love of Christ. A peaceful man. A teacher of the Word. A doer of the Word. No wonder he chose to do His Father's work as a Pastor. An amiable personality, he exudes joy and happiness at every moment you crossed his path. He was humorous. Folu was a generous man. The news of your death has kept us dumbfounded. A very brilliant man and workaholic. I used to wonder how he was able to combine his skill as an accomplished Engineer internationally with his duties as a Pastor/ local Parish Head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and national officer at the Redemption Camp. He devoted his life to serving Christ. He was no doubt a true child of the Most High God. That one can be accomplished and still serve God diligently. I will miss you so much dear special Brother. May your gentle soul rest peacefully at the bosom of God Almighty. Sun re o. Amb Ibukun Olatidoye
